Could the parties still retain their own lawyer during participation in the Community-Based Family Conflict Resolution Program?

At any point in time during their participation in the Program, any or all of the parties involved can consult with their own lawyer if they have one. Workers with the Program will deal with any questions the lawyers may have and/or accept any information from the lawyers which the lawyers feel may be helpful to assist their client and/or the family conflict resolution team.

If any of the participants wishes to do so, he/she can hire the services of a lawyer from a list of lawyers who support the Program and its guiding principles.
